The Lion King Events

It officially opened on Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre in November the same year. Unlike in the original movie, this musical has incorporated changes while also adding more to the storyline. Supporting character Rafiki is played by a female in this musical. This is because Taymor felt that there was no lead female character in the movie.
