Minnesota Wild Game

Hockey Day Minnesota is celebrated every year since 2007. It is an initiative taken alongside Minnesota Wild and Fox Sports North. A new tradition called "This Is Our Ice" started in 2017, where fans can bring in water from local ponds, lakes, and so on to put into Xcel Energy Center Ice. This then gets added to the ice for the season. The ice can be bought in for any Minnesota Wild Game.

The Wilds are known for their aggressive yet disciplined approach to the game. Nordy is the official mascot of the Wilds. The logo of the Wilds has a forest landscape and the silhouette of a wild animal. The eye of the animal is the North Star. The Minnesota state motto is "The Star of the North."
